Absolutely wonderful on all fronts! Food, service, selection and prices are pretty decent in todays world. You cannot go wrong in this place! Have been coming here for many, many years and always happy! :)

So many great items to choose from but I decided to go with the classic chicken strips tossed in the hot sauce! So good. And can't forget the fries!!!

If you are traveling through downtown (read old town) Livermore, find First Street Alehouse and stop in. This place is homey, decorated super cute, has indoor and outdoor seating, super friendly staff, and plenty of tvs to watch whatever sports are currently playing. This was the first time the hubster and I popped in after dropping a friend off in Milpitas. We decided to share the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. On the advice of our server we got the spicy peppers on the side. The hubster said they weren't all that hot. This was not the "classic" Philly, in my opinion, it had a cheddar cheese instead of a Swiss. It definitely tasted good but wasn't what I was expecting. For what was paid, I felt the portions were also tad small. We left wishing we had tried a burger instead, which they are known for. Lesson learned. Would I still recommend the First Street Alehouse...absolutely. I love to support smaller businesses and appreciate the diversity they bring to their communities. Give them a try. We will certainly go again when we are in the area.

It was excellent. I had the brie and pesto burger with a portobello mushroom, along with garlic fries. The burger was delicious. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My partner had the Reuben and sweet potato fries. He really liked the Rueben, but the sweet potato fries were just so-so. The y were made much better with the sweet and sour sauce. We decided to go non-alcoholic, and there were lots of options, something that's unusual. As you would expect from an ale house, the beer selection was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being overly interrupting.

My husband, brother-in-law, and I ate here for dinner this past weekend. The hostess said we would have had to wait for about 20-25 minutes around 6:30 pm for a table, but we ended up only waiting a few minutes. They gave us a buzzer to know when a table would be available. The staff was very friendly. The inside of the restaurant felt very festive and lively, and reminded me of a lively restaurant we once went to in the midwest. The food was okay and some of the dining furniture was not clean, hence my 4 stars. This was definitely a nice place to get out of the cold and have some nice, comforting food to eat. I would definitely be open to trying it out again !

First time trying First Street Alehouse and it did not disappoint. The service was amazing. Me and my friend went Friday night and we got seated very quickly. Our waitress was very nice and offered us many recommendations. She was amazing. Our waitress was checking in on us frequently throughout our dine there. The ambiance was really nice inside. The decorations inside was one of a kind. It was not too loud and was not too quiet. It was just right. They even had some sports games on all the televisions in the restaurant it was very nice experience. The food was amazing. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with a side over of there Ceasar salad. It was very delicious. A good point to make is they do not charge on refills sodas. My glass was fully most of night being there. I overall give this restaurant a solid 4 stars out of 5 stars. I have no complaints here and will definitely be back to try more and I want to try there "Soup of the day" they serve there next!

I went on a friday and loved the ambiance and the vibe of this place. I ordered house sampler- ,Shrimp, Mozarrella sticks , garlic fries Annan order of Nachos. The portion size was huge. The food was fresh and tasted great. For drinks they only have wine and beer in their menu but it wasn't a big deal. My wife ordered a frozen Margarita and I got a local beer which was good. I will go again and try out their sandwiches and burgers next time.

First street has always been a good consistent place for me to eat in Downtown Livermore, but apparently it took me so long to find out that it's pooch friendly lol They even serve a dog patty. How awesome is that! I did feed my dog pieces cuz he would have finished in one bite. I got the alehouse club and it was pretty good. Although, it's really big like I kinda struggled on taking a bite hehe The ciabatta bun was a little overly toasted but nothing too bad. Large screen t.v.s posted all over to watch the game(s). Good drinks. Good vibes all around.
